Fall Juried Member Exhibit at Blithewold
The Newport Photo Guild has been asked to prepare an member’s exhibit for the Marjorie VanWickle Lyon Gallery at Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, RI. The gallery which sits in the Visitors Center and is the location for Blithewold art classes was rededicated earlier this year.
The exhibit, Inspired Moments: Visions of the Newport Photo Guild, is an evocative photographic exhibit that celebrates a diverse range of styles and subjects. This collection, curated by the talented members of the Newport Photo Guild, showcases interpretations of “Inspired Moments” within a broad array of genres, including serene landscapes, dynamic street photography, abstract art, and intimate portraits.
"Inspired Moments: Visions of the Newport Photo Guild," is juried by well-known, local photographer and instructor, Eileen McCarney Muldoon. In her own work, Eileen seeks to capture quiet yet powerful moments of emotional connection between people and their environments. Through international tours and local workshops, she inspires others to find meaning and beauty in the everyday.
All 2024-2025 members are invited to submit 1-2 images by Wednesday, August 28 for initial juror review and label creation. Submission fees will be $15 for one entry and $25 for two entries.

At least one work from each entrant will be accepted. Acceptance of second photos will depend on the number of entrants. If oversubscribed, the juror will make the final selections. As standard juried show practice, no refund will be made on the second submission if not selected.
Please follow the standard guidelines for submitting images and use the email subject line “Blithewold.” Digital images are due on August 28th by Midnight.
Framed intake is set for Saturday, September 14, 10am to 12pm at the Blithewold Estate.
A reception and award announcements will be held Saturday, September 21 from 2 – 4pm in the VanWickle Lyons Gallery.
Your work can be available for sale through the Blithewold gift shop with 50% of the sale price to the photographer and 50% to Blithewold. Collectors will purchase work directly off the wall. NPG may replace any work that was sold.
The exhibit will be open to the public during Blithewold’s open hours through the end of 2024.
