2024 Juried Spring Exhibit at Newport Public Library

Background:

A juried exhibit shows images selected through a competitive process as opposed to a non-juried exhibit where all images are accepted. In a juried exhibit, members submit images electronically and the juror is responsible for reviewing all the digital submissions, and determining which of the images will be declined or accepted. Members will frame accepted images for display in person. The juror makes their final decisions about the exhibition and awards while looking at the artwork in person.

Juried Spring Exhibit at Newport Public Library:

Members are invited to submit 1 digital image for consideration by Monday, 32/26. Photos for juror initial acceptance will be based on wall space. All photos, accepted or not, will be included in an online gallery.

Please follow the guidelines for submitting images and use the email subject line “Library Spring Exhibit.”

NOTE: There is a non-refundable $15 fee to submit an image that will be used to fund the awards. Payment can be made below.

The juror for this exhibit is David DeMelim.

Members whose images are selected by the juror for display at the Newport Public Library will be notified by email.

Framed images will be due on Saturday, 3/2/24 9-11 am.

There are cash prizes for the top 3 selected images ($150/$100/$75). More details on the award ceremony to follow.
