Alex has been working as a photographer at the University of Rhode Island's Inner Space Center since it was founded in 2009. Based on the vision of Dr. Robert Ballard to connect a wide range of audiences to at-sea ocean science and exploration, in real-time, the Inner Space Center has produced work at the interface of innovation, research, and communications in ocean and climate science.
Alex has worked alongside most projects at the ISC documenting the incredibly varied roles and responsibilities involved in numerous pilot experiments. One constant remains the same - to draw closer in dialogue the inquiry of science and the depth of the human heart, with the intent to create more life enriching and truthful experiences for audiences and researchers, alike.
